Terms of Service — beta draft

The terms for using Agora, provided by Agora Childcare Technology, during the beta. This draft is awaiting owner and legal review.

Beta draft for owner and legal review — not final terms and not yet accepted by anyone. Agora is operated by Agora Childcare Technology, based in British Columbia, Canada. Still to be confirmed: contact details and governing law/dispute terms.

Beta service

Agora is in beta. Features may change, be incomplete or not work as expected. Email sending, card payments and paid subscriptions are not yet switched on. Please keep your own records of anything essential.

Who may use Agora

Agora is for adults: childcare centre owners and the staff they invite, and parents or guardians of children at a centre. You must only use Agora for centres or children you are authorized to act for.

Accounts and invitations

Keep your sign-in details private and tell your centre if you think your account has been misused. Staff join a centre only through an invitation sent to their own email address. Centres are responsible for who they invite, the roles they give, and removing access when someone leaves.

Centre responsibilities

Each centre is responsible for giving families any required privacy notices, collecting the consents it needs, keeping its records accurate, following child-safety and licensing rules, and using Agora lawfully. Ratio, funding and similar settings use the values the centre enters; Agora does not supply official government rules.

Your information

Centres and families keep ownership of the information they put into Agora. You allow Agora to store, process and display it only as needed to run, secure and support the service. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Acceptable use

Do not access another centre's or family's information, try to get around permissions, upload unlawful or harmful content, share login details, or interfere with the service.

Offline use and notifications

Attendance and notes made offline are saved on the device and sync when back online; if the device is lost or its storage is cleared before syncing, they may be lost. Reminders are not yet emailed to families. Do not rely on Agora alone for time-sensitive messages.

Not for emergencies

Agora is not an emergency, medical or clinical service, and does not replace licensing, safeguarding or professional advice. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency service.

Trial and pricing

New centres get a 30-day trial. Listed prices are in CAD per location: Starter $39/month or $390/year, Growth $99/month or $990/year, Professional $149/month or $1,490/year. Purchases are not yet available, and no card will be charged until billing is set up. Families pay their centre directly, and payment-processor charges are separate.

Availability and support

We aim to keep Agora available, but there may be interruptions, maintenance or errors, and no service level is promised during the beta. Support requests can be sent through the app or the Contact page.

Suspension and ending use

Access may be suspended if these terms are misused or to protect children, families or the service. A centre may stop using Agora at any time. To ask for a copy of a centre's records or their deletion, contact us through the Contact page.

Changes and remaining terms

These terms may change during the beta; this page will show the latest version. Terms on liability, disputes and governing law are awaiting legal review and are not included in this draft.
